Welcome to the Dalhousie Department of Diagnostic Radiology

Our mission:

• To provide excellence in patient care by the provision of expertise and technology in diagnostic imaging and therapeutic radiology for the people of the Maritime Provinces.
  
  
• To provide a rich undergraduate educational experience in order that physicians will understand the services available in this department and acquire ability and knowledge for its proper utilization.
  
  
• To provide an excellent program in postgraduate education. This must ensure the provision of adequate manpower to meet the needs of the Maritime Provinces as well as meet the required national standards of competence.
  
  
• To provide Continuing Medical Educational programs, particularly for those physicians practising in the Maritime Provinces.
  
  
• To provide a high quality research program which not only allows for the provision of research experience for our graduates, but brings new information to our specialty.
